The guitar is SO off beat! It's like they're on two separate tempos and it's REALLY grating!

I think my only gripe was that I was expecting a bit of a climax in that last 30 seconds or so. I was really feeling the story behind the music as I followed along, and expected you to maybe drop a little base or ramp things up a little as this sorcerer of legend shows his awesomeness. In spite of that, I liked it quite a bit!

ChronoNomad responds:

I hear ya, but with stuff like this, even when I have my own ideas from the get-go, it tends to write itself. The climax for the song really begins to build at about 1:54, and it hits right around 2:20, shortly after which I start to incorporate the reprise of "Apprentice to the Arts."

In actuality, "The Sorcerer of Legend" is more about how the story continues to unfold even after the music ends. But that's the subjective nature of music: while it means one thing to me, it can be interpreted differently by the listener. And while the music has to end somewhere, just like any good tale, it continues on even once you've reached the finale.

So, firstly, I could totally see this in the background of some cave level of a platformer or RPG. It's got a very... Subterranean feel to it I think. Something about the echoes maybe. I don't know if I can imagine how vocals would fit on it, but I might just be listening from the wrong angle (if that makes any sense.) Other than that, I do like it!

I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm a bit disappointed. I expected a remix of Megalovania... This doesn't really sound a whole lot like the song. It sounds more like it could have been from the same game. It's good, but I feel like it's not what I was hoping for.

Mudstep responds:

I’m sorry you expected a remix of Megalovania. It says in the description that it was literally Clubstep in the style of Megalovania lol

I like it! I'm not usually so into the screamo sort of singing style, but I can certainly dig the instrumentals! Good job!

TSRBand responds:

Thanks for tuning in! Happy to hear you liked it :)

I drive for a living, but am hoping to one day be able to make a living off of my writing! Also, I really love my kitties!
